CCT Reading Group

Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programs are among the most efficient government interventions to fight against poverty and its intergenerational traps around the world. In this reading group we aim to study both theoretical and empirical research papers published in top economic journals such as AER, JLE, JDE and others.
We hope that at the end of this reading group, regular participants gain good understanding of the following concepts:

1)Advantages and disadvantages of conditional versus unconditional transfers

2)Techniques to evaluate polices:

a)Ex-ante policy evaluation methods

b)Ex-post policy evaluation methods

3)Randomized Treatment Control (RCT)

Time: Sundays, 12:30 - 13:30
